What can be done when a neighbor's dog is a nuisance?
If actions to quiet a neighbor's barking dog don't work, you can sell and move to a quieter home.
Q: The neighbor who lives behind our house has a dog they let out into the yard early each morning, usually around 6:00 a.m. That's when the barking starts, and it lasts for 30 minutes to an hour until they let it back into the house. What can I do about this?
A: One option is to talk to your neighbor and ask if they can figure out a way to let the dog go back inside to prevent the barking. Maybe they can leave the door open, so that the dog can go back in when it's ready.
If that doesn't work, you can call the police, constable, sheriff or your homeowners association. They might be able to get your neighbor to control the dog........
