Claims by the US president that vaccines cause autism and climate change is fake aren’t just dangerous, they’re stupid and unworthy of even debating, our Writer at Large Neil Mackay argues

Most of all, though, she’s had it with the sheer unadulterated stupidity of the Trump regime.

The Trump presidency isn’t just stupid, however. It dares assault intelligence with the conviction of the learned.

A president with zero understanding of science now proclaims that paracetamol is linked to autism, scaremongers over childhood vaccines and autism, and calls climate change “the greatest con job ever perpetrated”.

That’s the same president who suggested injecting disinfectant to treat Covid, saying: “I’m not a doctor, but I’m, like, a person that has a good you-know-what.”

This self-styled “very stable genius” is a moron. You shouldn’t debate morons. Why? Because they’re morons. There’s no requirement to provide counter evidence to claims that are patently stupid.

Outlets like the BBC run fact-checking articles on Trump’s idiocy as if he’s an ordinary politician.

The only intelligent response to Trump is for every media outlet which values truth to run headline after headline saying: ‘Trump lies … again’.

Imbeciles exist to be mocked. The media validates Trump’s nonsense by honouring it with serious analysis. Treat what this fool says as trash, and history........
