One of the most interesting distillery production setups I have ever seen is at Loch Lomond Distillery.

The distillery is located just south of Loch Lomond, and I recently had the opportunity to visit the site. What makes the Loch Lomond distillery so unique is that they operate not just one type of still but several different ones.

They use their pot stills to make their single malt, but have both swan neck pot stills, which are most commonly seen, as well as straight neck pot stills, which are more unusual.

To make things even more complicated, they also produce both unpeated, medium-peated and heavily peated spirit.

Lastly, they also do different cuts from the spirit off the straight neck stills, where the high strength cut is a lighter and more floral spirit, whereas the low........
