Here, she tells her story so far and what we can expect from her new weekly whisky column.
I grew up in Sweden and initially moved to Edinburgh for a three-year professional dance training programme.
I decided to stay in the city for at least the summer after graduation, but soon fell in love with Scotland and realised I had never felt so at home anywhere else.
It's now close to a decade later and I still haven't moved away.

I sort of fell into working in whisky when I got a job as a tour guide at The Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh.
It was a great place to learn more about the industry as well as for meeting other people who were enthusiastic about Scotch Whisky. After work, I would often end up in the pub with colleagues and my husband where we would discover new drams together.
After a while, I found it difficult to remember each of the individual whiskies we had tried and all of the complex flavour notes and details, so I started my Instagram @swedishwhiskygirl.
