A regulation for American Single Malt I would like to see implemented in Scotland January is the perfect time to look ahead to what the rest of the year might bring, so in this week's column, I'll do just that.

First of all, in 2025 we can expect to see a brand new visitor centre from Glencadam Distillery in Brechin. Established in 1825, this distillery is somewhat of a hidden gem for whisky enthusiasts, producing an unpeated single malt spirit with notes of pineapple in its new make.
The distillery has not officially been opened to the public for tours or tastings before making this the perfect time to sample a taste of what awaits when the Visitor Centre opens. If you have yet to try whisky from Glencadam, I recommend starting with the Glencadam 10 or 15, both great representations of the spirit.
