The Poker Game of the Nicaraguan Dictatorship

HAVANA TIMES – April not only brings memories of the 2018 rebellion in Nicaragua, it also reminds us how the Ortega-Murillo regime continues destroying our forests, looting our biodiversity, and granting our territory away for mining. In the coming weeks, at least five more lots will be published in La Gaceta: Acacia, Polaris, San Miguel, and Cerro Chiripa, in favor of three new Chinese mining companies — Nicaragua Zhongwei Minería Group S.A., Nicaragua Jia Run S.A., and Minesight Minería S.A. — along with an additional lot for Global Group S.A., in the Indigenous territory of Li Aubra, on the country’s northern Caribbean coast.
If mining concessions were playing cards, what is happening in the country would be a perfect poker........
