The Department of Posts, Government of India, combines its nationwide presence with modern technology to support commerce, financial inclusion and citizen-centric service delivery.

India Post provides a comprehensive range of postal and parcel services for individuals, businesses and institutions. These include registered and insured articles, Speed Post, domestic parcels and international postal services. Tracking, insurance and proof-of-delivery facilities offer customers additional convenience and assurance.

With the expansion of e-commerce, parcel services have become increasingly important. India Post enables small businesses, artisans, manufacturers and online sellers to reach customers across geographical boundaries. Its extensive network helps connect even remote locations with wider markets, supporting entrepreneurship and economic activity.International postal services also provide avenues for eligible exporters to reach overseas destinations, subject to applicable customs regulations and service conditions.

Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras (DNKs) facilitate e-commerce exports through the postal network. They help eligible exporters access international postal channels and complete prescribed export formalities through designated post offices.These centres are particularly relevant for micro, small and medium enterprises, artisans, weavers and local manufacturers who may lack the infrastructure required for independent export operations. By facilitating postal exports and digital customs documentation, DNKs help connect local products with international customers.
