Maharashtra seems to be in the grips of a bit of a firestorm of a movie. The lesser-known story, especially amongst the newer generation, of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, which is the subject of a new biopic, has seen crowds flocking to cinema screens. And scenes, rarely witnessed before, of viewers overcome with emotion as they make their way out in sombre groups. Whilst some sceptics may dismiss this as hysteria, the larger point here is that cinema of this ilk is a stark reminder of the sacrifices that we owe much........
