Garuda Seeks $1.4 Billion Cash From Danantara As Tycoon Chairul Tanjung Cuts Stake
Garuda Indonesia is seeking as much as $1.4 billion capital injection from the country’s sovereign wealth fund, Danantara Indonesia, to support the turnaround of the cash-strapped flag carrier.
Under the plan, which is subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders at a meeting in November, Garuda will issue 407 million new shares to Danantara and convert the 6.65 trillion rupiah ($408 million)........
