Jollibee Tycoon-Backed Hotel101 Plans To Invest $200 Million In Thailand Push
Hotel101 Global—a unit of DoubleDragon, the joint venture of tycoon Tony Tan Caktiong (founder of Philippine fastfood giant Jollibee Foods) and real estate magnate Edgar Sia II—is expanding into Thailand with a plan to invest $200 million to build three hotels in Southeast Asia’s top tourist destination.
The projects will be undertaken over the next three years, with the first hotel to be located in Bangkok with the other two in Pattaya and Phuket, Sia said in a mobile text message. The hotels will have over 2,000 rooms, he said.
