Forbes India Realty Trailblazers, in association with Ozone, brought together developers, architects, policymakers and industry leaders to honour those shaping India’s skyline and examine the ideas and decisions that will influence how India builds next.

India is set to build substantially more over the coming decade. Cities are expanding, new residential markets are opening up, and homebuyers are asking for far more than they did even a few years ago. The harder question is what kind of cities, neighbourhoods and buildings will emerge from all of it.

Opening the event, Suveen Sinha, Editor, Forbes India, emphasised that as construction accelerates, progress cannot be measured by quantity alone. Design, technology, sustainability and whether buildings stand the test of time matter just as much.

Recognising the trailblazers

The 16 recognitions spanned established developers, landmark projects, architecture and design practices, and emerging leaders making their mark.

DLF Limited and Lodha Group were named Residential Trailblazer of the Year. Embassy Group took the Realty Leader – Township recognition, K Raheja Corp was named Commercial Trailblazer of the Year, and Prestige Hospitality Ventures received Hospitality Trailblazer of the Year.

Naman Xana was named Landmark Project of the Year – Residential, Atrium Place, Gurugram, took Landmark Project of the Year – Commercial, EcoWorld 4D, Bengaluru, was recognised as Future-Forward Development of the Year, and Godrej Two, Mumbai, was named Eco-Conscious Project.

Morphogenesis was named Residential Design Trailblazer, ANA Design Studio took Commercial Design Trailblazer, and Studio Lotus received Hospitality Design Trailblazer. Siddharth Menda was recognised as Emerging Next-Gen Developer, and Priya Daniel as Emerging Next-Gen Architect.

Knowledge partner Knight Frank developed the methodology, which weighed industry standing, geographic presence, portfolio scale and growth, and each honouree’s contribution to how India will live, work and grow.
