BIGGER PICTURE: Changing times

Times have changed for a local organization focused on women.

The Geneva Woman’s Club, located in the beautiful building at the top of Seneca Street where it meets Main Street, is leaving that space. The building has been sold to Bob Stivers. The club is holding “paper” and will eventually get a balloon payment.

The Club is and will be distributing thousands of dollars in an effort to help local organizations. The recent check presented (pictured inset) was at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center, where runners were registering for the Middle Finger 5K, a benefit for the Thrive to Survive cancer organization. The Woman’s Club gave Thrive to Survive, which organizes the race, $5,000.
