The essay contrasts a Southern Baptist ban on women pastors with biblical and Quranic examples of female prophetic and leadership figures (including the Queen of Sheba), arguing that rising numbers of powerful women signal the approach of the Messianic Age.

It highlights positive contemporary “Messianic signs,” such as the ingathering of Jews to Israel (fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecies), medical and social progress, and the potential of Jewish-Christian-Muslim cooperation (e.g., via Abraham Accords or shared Temple Mount arrangements) to advance peace.

The author contends that true redemption is a societal transformation achieved through ethical living across religions, and that interfaith respect and peaceful coexistence (rather than exclusive claims or conflict) will usher in the Messianic era of universal peace.

A ban on churches with women pastors, or those that just allow women to preach, was approved by three-quarters of Southern Baptist Church messengers. But the Talmud tells Jews that there were 48 male prophets and seven female prophetesses whose names were know from the Hebrew Bible.

In the gospels, Prophet Jesus, rebukes doubters in his audience, and identifies the Queen of Sheba as a pre-Messianic judge: “The Queen of the South will come in the judgement of this generation and will condemn it; (she) who came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon…(Matthew 12:42) According to the Qur’an; the Queen of Sheba realizes she has been mistaken in who she worships, and she commits herself to the worship of the One God alongside King Prophet Solomon. She says: “My Lord! Surely I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to God, Lord of the worlds.” (Qur’an 27:44) 

This reference to a future very powerful female ruler who will turn from being a non-believer critic into being a believer pre-Messianic judge, has rarely been included in Messianic visions. The increasing number of powerful female rulers is an indication of their coming arrival. 

When asked whether “God offers Jews a path to Him through their covenant, just as Christians have theirs through Jesus.” A majority of doctrinally evangelical respondents, 50.9%, strongly agreed, compared with only 34.2% of other Protestants. 

Evangelical Christian Zionist leader Laurie Cardoza-Moore called on President Donald Trump to publicly distance himself from recent statements by Vice President Vance concerning Israel, Iran, and alleged Israeli influence in American politics. Cardoza-Moore, founder and president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN), said Vance’s remarks risked legitimizing antisemitic conspiracy theories and damaging relations between Israel and its Christian supporters in the United States. She said: “As one of the millions of Evangelical Christians who stand with Israel and our Jewish brethren, I call upon President Trump to immediately distance himself from the vice president’s recent statements on Israel and the Jews.”

Pastor John Hagee is a founder of Christians United for Israel, an evangelical organization that claims 10 million members. Christian Zionism is an ideology among many evangelical Christians, particularly in the United States, that interprets the Bible as promising the land of Israel eternally to the Jews, and asserting that God would bless Israel’s supporters.
