National developer McCarthy and Stone was granted planning permission in July 2023 for a major retirement complex on the former Dairy Farm site on Saxons Way in Halesworth.

The development of 43 one and two-bedroom flats and 10 bungalows on the former Dairy Farm on Saxons Way, Halesworth, was expected to be finished last year.

But work stopped on the building site in the summer of 2024, prompting questions about the development's future.

It has been revealed the delay was due to archaeological reasons........
