Villagers fear reservoir bid could close family-run glamping site

A R Freeland Farms applied to South Norfolk Council for planning permission to construct a surface water reservoir on land east of Elms Road, Aldeby, near Beccles, earlier this year.

More than 15 objections have since flooded in, with many concerned about the impact it would have on the nearby glamping site, The Wildings Elms Meadow in neighbouring Toft Monks.

Owners Anissa and Kevin Connor moved from London in April 2021 to pursue their dream of creating an eco-friendly camping site.
