Jeff Claydon - founder of Claydon Drills at Wickhambrook, near Newmarket - expressed deep concern as he joined National Farmers' Union (NFU) president Tom Bradshaw and representatives of various agriculture-related industries to oppose new measures announced in the October 30 Budget.

They were at annual national farm machinery show LAMMA, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on Wednesday and Thursday (January 15 and 16).

“I started our family drill manufacturing business alongside our farm 20 years ago and I’m incredibly concerned the inheritance tax changes will curtail privately owned businesses and growth in family businesses," he warned.
