And that accusation is now being made in a Norfolk town after a water leak has taken nearly a month to fix.

Neighbours in Loddon have been left "frustrated" after water has been "gushing" down the drain outside their homes since the beginning of May.

The problem is in Low Bungay Road and has left people there exasperated at the time it is taking Anglian Water to solve it.

They voiced their frustration as engineers are due to fix the leak this week.

Ruth Grindrod, who has lived on the street for the last 10 years, described the water as "running down the road straight into the drain".
