Officers from Norfolk Police responded to multiple incidents last night (August 6) as they tackled yet another night of violence spurred on by asylum seekers being housed on the estate.

They were joined by colleagues from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Constabularies. 

It comes after officers were bitten, spat at and hit with a rock on Wednesday night (August 5).

At around 4.45pm yesterday, officers were called to Chester Way after reports of a group of people throwing eggs and stones towards a property. 

The group continued to damage the building, breaking the door.

Residents of the address were subsequently escorted out by officers in order to ensure their safety.

A second incident was reported nearby on Anne Boleyn Close, where rocks thrown at a property resulted in smashed windows.
