Somerleyton Estate submitted a bid earlier this year to create 15 new residential moorings in the village's marina with plans to revamp the current facilities.

The site, on the river Waveney between St Olaves and Oulton Broad, currently consists of a mooring basin and a long-established boatyard business.

But while the proposal was supported by the Broads Society and the parish council, a number of neighbours objected to the plans with traffic and noise concerns.
