Man WINS battle over controversial cladding on his home

Peter Albon had put up light-green cement boards on his house at Shipmeadow, between Beccles and Bungay, without relevant planning permission.

But after he retrospectively applied to the Broads Authority (BA) to gain permission for the cladding, Mr Albon's application was refused.

The BA said it would "result in an unacceptable and incongruous change to the host dwelling” and raised concerns that it would cause damp issues.

So Mr Albon appealed his case to the Planning Inspectorate.
