Global company submits early documents for solar farm bid near town
Jose Manuel Fernandez, from Opdenergy, has requested a "screening opinion" for a solar farm and battery energy storage system from East Suffolk Council for land at Redisham Hall Farm in School Road, Ringsfield.
It is set to determine whether the developers need an environmental impact assessment (EIA) before submitting a planning application for the site.
In a screening letter it said: "The development is for a renewable energy scheme that will contribute to the district’s energy requirements, providing the electricity needs of approximately 11,550 homes annual usage."
