Councillors at Beccles Town Council have objected to Megalith Properties' premises licence bid for the Three Guys Barber Shop and Games Room at 49 Blyburgate.

The business applied to supply alcohol between 11.30am to 10.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11.30am to 9.30pm on Sunday at the former barber shop.

But while it says "barber shop" in the name, councillor Richard Stubbings said in a planning and highways committee meeting this week that he believes the principal use is to use the premises as a games room and bar, "not a salon that serves alcohol".
