Christopher Nunn, who runs the Wine Vaults in Beccles, had lost his business licence after police said he was using his venture to "launder" the proceeds of his crime.

Following an East Suffolk Council's licensing committee meeting on April 7, Nunn was given a 21-day appeal period before the decision would take effect.

And now Nunn has lodged an appeal with a magistrates' court against the council's ruling.

A spokesman for East Suffolk Council said: "An appeal has been lodged with the Magistrates’ Court.

"Until the appeal is resolved, the order will be suspended."
