Nationwide's Beccles pledge comes as the town is set to lose another one of its banks.

The building society's branch at New Markey has re-opened with a new look at its site.

As it celebrated its revamp the company announced it will remain in Beccles until at least the start of 2028.

Stuart Hall, Nationwide’s branch manager in Beccles, said: “We’re really pleased with how the refurbishment of our Beccles branch has gone, as are our customers.

"We recently extended our Branch Promise, meaning everywhere we have a branch, we will remain until at least the start of 2028.

"We look forward to welcoming more Beccles customers into their refurbished branch in the coming weeks.”........
