The Bear and Bells - a Stonegate pub in Old Market, Beccles - is serving drinks again after it had closed at the beginning of the year.

Beverley Nilsson and Christer Nilsson were former publicans of the White Horse in Corton, near Lowestoft for four years before handing the baton on in July 2024.

And after spending six months abroad, they took the opportunity to become landlords in a new town when the "timing was right".

Mr Nilsson said: "I love Beccles and the history behind it - and the history behind this pub.

"It's hard not to love a pub like this."
