The monument, showing Benjamin Britten as a boy, is proposed to be installed in historic gardens in Lowestoft.

Plans centring around "Proposed siting of a statue of the composer, Benjamin Britten - as a boy - on land at Lord Kitchener's Garden, plus associated minor works" have been lodged with East Suffolk Council.

An application prepared by Miss Ruth Wharrier, on behalf of the Britten as a Boy statue committee, has been submitted.
