Courageous Esme honoured with 'remarkable award' for tryign to save uncle's life
Esme Golder showed exceptional bravery, quick thinking and calmness in the face of a crisis after her uncle collapsed in front of the family.
The 14th Lowestoft Scout troop member - who had received first aid training at Scouts the previous week - provided emergency care as her uncle went into cardiac arrest.
The Explorer Scout, who had learnt about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), put it into practice as she took control of the emergency situation as it unfolded in Lowestoft last September.
Esme got her mother Heidi to call the emergency services, while she "very clearly and calmly" shouted CPR instructions to her dad so he could start CPR immediately.
Her "proud" family said the youngster called her aunt, a nurse, while taking the first aid kit from........
