Redevelopment plans to create 15 new homes across the vacant former Fen Park Primary School in Kirkley, Lowestoft are being recommended for approval.

Proposals were initially lodged in September 2023 to redevelop the former playground of the school site on Lovewell Road with a terrace of eight houses.

But the scheme came under fire as concerns surrounding parking, road safety fears and "overdevelopment of the land" were raised.

This led to revised drawings and an amended scheme - centring around "Redevelopment of existing playground and construction of a terrace of eight dwellings" as well as "Redevelopment of existing building to create seven........
