Robert Reardon lured his partner to the woodland where he asked to borrow his phone.

He then wrote a message on the device to his boyfriend's mother pretending to be her son, suggesting he had suicidal thoughts.

Reardon planned to send the message to cover up his plan to attack his partner, who is in his 20s.

The partner saw it and the message was never sent.

However, Reardon, 31 and from High Street, Lowestoft, carried out the attack........
