Drug dealer sentenced after nearly £3k of drugs seized
George Ward, 48, of Clifton Road in Norwich, was handed a 20-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday (March 23) after an investigation by Suffolk police.
He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin and Ward was also ordered to pay a £156 victim surcharge.
The drugs seized by officers had an estimated street value of nearly £3,000, equivalent to around 300 individual deals.

Sergeant Chris Smy said: "The defendant has today pleaded guilty to the drug supply offences.
"This was a substantial amount of drugs, around 300 deals worth approximately £2,800.
"These substances have been removed from circulation, preventing harm to numerous people in the local community.
"I would like to thank the original officer in the case for building the case and securing charges, as well as staff involved in preparing the file, including CPS."
