Road rage forces Cromer carnival to be re-routed
The organisers of Cromer Carnival have revealed they have been forced to re-route the parade for this summer's event because their marshals are facing a growing tide of anger from motorists cross at the road closures.
Tony Shipp, who has been the carnival chairman for 50 years, said: "The abuse is coming from people in cars."
In previous years, marshals have been abused by motorists frustrated with road closures, while some drivers have moved barriers out of the way to get through.
The bad behaviour has left organisers struggling to recruit volunteers to marshal.
