New sports facilities to be built on farm in city outskirts
Two new padel courts are to be installed at White House Farm in Sprowston as plans have been approved by Broadland District Council.
The scheme was put forward by one of the owners at the farm, Oliver Gurney, in January with the hope of building over an old tennis court.
According to the proposals, the courts will be built using toughened safety glass and dark green or black mesh fencing, which are described as "commonly accepted and visually recessive in a sporting environment."
Charlotte Gurney, Mr Gurney's wife, previously said: "We are really excited for this latest project and hope it will add another dimension to our busy farm.

"We are rejuvenating the old tennis court to include two luxury padel courts and hoping to open in early spring.
"They will be located outside, in a glass structure, set in a beautiful country garden."
In November last year, the couple opened a skating rink at the property on the outskirts of the city.
