Located on Guildhall Hill, opposite Norwich Market, the building was purchased by ALB Group, which lodged plans to convert the upper floors into apartments in May.

Norwich City Council has now approved the scheme.

Arran Bailey, managing director at ALB Group, previously said: "We are excited for the future of this landmark building in the heart of the city.
