A scheme for a 60-bed care home, which is part of a development that includes 118 houses on a site in Cromer, could expand as an amendment has been lodged with North Norfolk District Council.

The land earmarked for the controversial development is located between the Overstrand and Northrepps roads, opposite Royal Cromer Golf Club.

The amendment seeks to increase the elderly care provision on the site from 60 to 66 beds.
