Battle of God's Path breaks out in coastal woodland
North Norfolk District Council has sparked outrage among the people of Sheringham after closing a well-trodden woodland route over safety fears.
Locals who want to use God's Path in Pretty Corner Woods say they have been met with makeshift barricades of chopped-down trees and vague signage.

The council says the area is unsafe due to what it called "unofficial goat paths" being created and "potentially dangerous" trees.
However, walkers have been defying authorities by moving debris out of the way and carving their own routes onto the path.
This has led to local campaigners applying pressure to the council in an effort to make it reconsider its decision to close the beloved pathway.
