Leah Catchpole was known by her friends and family for having a love of nature and fauna which she carried throughout her life.

Such was her love for animals, she would often rescue and care for everything from cats to deer.

“We used to call her Dr Doolittle,” her husband, Stuart Catchpole said.

Mr Catchpole said in a letter read to his late wife at her funeral: “I could not be more proud of you. I have no idea how you fought so valiantly for so long against this brutal condition and the ones that came before.

“I never believed that we would lose this battle and I would have given the world to have changed the........
