The title of the East of England’s best beach was given to Cromer as part of The Times and The Sunday Times 50 Best UK Beaches guide, which included four other beaches in Norfolk.

Each site is rated using a 12-point checklist covering cleanliness, water quality, accessibility, parking, toilet and shower facilities, safety, dog-friendliness and lifeguard provision.
