Dates of new hazardous waste amnesty days at Norfolk tips announced
The events will take place at seven recycling centres this spring and are organised by Norfolk County Council.
The amnesties allow people to dispose of hazardous household waste free of charge, including items such as aerosols, anti-freeze, drain cleaners, fertilisers, paint and weed killer.
Those wanting to dispose of any of these items will have to book ahead online or over the phone with the council.
Booking opens eight days before each event.
The council introduced the controversial money-saving booking system for its recycling centres in November 2024.
It was created to prevent queues at such events and was used for the first time for hazardous household waste days in the spring last year.
The dates and locations of the events taking place this spring are:
Norwich North - Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11
Thetford - Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18
King’s Lynn - Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25
