The landowner, Holkham Estate, is looking to construct a 350-home estate to the south of Dumpling Green in Dereham.

Plans also reveal ambitions to install a new BMX and mountain bike track, a multi-use outdoor sports court and a large play area as part of the 27-hectare site.

The proposed development includes provision for 25pc affordable housing, consisting of mostly two-storey homes.

The land at Dumpling Green has been identified by Breckland Council as a sustainable location for the future growth of Dereham following its call for a potential development site in 2022.
