Norwich City Council’s site went dark on Wednesday evening and remained down on Thursday morning.

It comes after security researchers found flaws that left websites and their users exposed to hackers, prompting experts to urge owners to shut their sites down.

It is one of many governments, universities and local authorities that have shut their sites while they rush to fix the problem.
