Police stopped the motorist, who said he was feeling under the weather, on the A11 at Wymondham on Saturday, April 25, at 6.16am.

The queasy man was clocked roaring down the busy stretch of road at 101mph.

When questioned, he said he was only speeding to find the next lay-by to stop as his illness worsened behind the wheel.

Police then reported the man for the speeding offence.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Unfortunately, even if you feel ill behind the wheel, finding the next layby isn't an acceptable excuse to travel more than 100mph, as this driver found out.

"He was stopped on the A11 at Wymondham on Saturday and reported for the offence."
