Major road closures planned for electrical works in village

Cucumber Lane and Yarmouth Road in Brundall are scheduled to have temporary closures starting this month.

The closures will affect the southbound lane of Cucumber Lane from its junction with the A47 roundabout for 86 meters southward.

The westbound lane of Yarmouth Road from its junction with the A47 roundabout will also be affected for 158 meters eastward.

Disruption is expected to begin on April 15 and run through to May 20, but it could be extended until November if necessary.

During the closure, only pedestrian access will be allowed through, and drivers will be diverted with signs.

The alternative route for drivers will be via Yarmouth Road, Stocks Lane, Brundall Road, Blofield Road, The Street, and Cucumber Lane.

The order will automatically revoke upon completion of the works or when the closure is no longer necessary.

Those who do not follow the restriction may face a maximum fine of £1,000 and possible endorsement on conviction.
