David Howard reopened the doors to Gibraltar Gardens, in Heigham Street, in October last year following the former landlord's ugly bust-up with owners Stonegate.

However the 65-year-old believes the early ideas put in place have begun to turn the pub's fortunes around.

There are also future plans which David hopes will help the site become a more "communal venue" for years to come.

He said: "People have really got behind the pub........
