However after two recent incidents in the city which resulted in one vehicle stranded on its side and another on its roof, it's safe to say anything can happen.

And it's not the only bizarre incident to have happened over the years.

Thankfully, no one was injured during these incidents, but served to raise the eyebrows of commuters everywhere, wondering just how the vehicles ended up in such a predicament.

MILE CROSS MISHAP

Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision in Mile Cross Road, near the traffic lights heading onto Woodcock Road, on Friday morning.

They attended the scene where a car had flipped over onto its roof near the pavement.

Last week, a blue vehicle was captured on its side at the busy junction near the Boundary and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
