The Travelling Teapot will launch at Snetterton Farm in Old Buckenham on May 2.

The horsebox will be nestled in a fenced-off paddock close to a scenic walking trail.

Straw bales will be dotted around for seating, so its owner, Megan Cattermole, said she hopes it will become a cosy stop for walkers out enjoying the surroundings.

She will start by serving tea, coffee, cakes and breakfast bagels, and hopes the experience will have a traditional "Bridgerton" feel - nostalgic and welcoming, with plenty of pretty patterns.

The 37-year-old said the idea of opening a tearoom from a horsebox took shape during the Covid pandemic, when more people were hosting events from home.

“The initial idea was quite niche – people were hosting a lot of garden parties and afternoon teas from home,” she said.

“I thought it would be nice if I could rock up with the horsebox, and bring whatever they needed for it right to their door.”

Life - and a new baby - meant her plans were pushed back, but she is now ready to bring the vision to life.

Ms Cattermole - who will be running the tearoom with support from her family - said she is going to "start simple and see what people want".

"Hopefully, people will come back and tell me if there is anything else they would like me to offer," she explained.

She added she has already catered for a handful of afternoon tea events, including at a village hall, but hopes the venture will also spark more event bookings in future.

The grand opening will be from 9am until 2pm on Saturday, May 2, and will raise money for Cancer Research.
