Blake Pennell, from Loddon, ate the sandwich during a visit to Stoke in June 2024 and started being violently sick soon afterwards.

His condition worsened later that evening and he was rushed to hospital.

Doctors explained he had suffered a stroke after a blood clot caused by E. coli bacteria travelled to his brain.
