Jo Nelson, from north Norfolk, was sewing a button on to some clothes when her three-year-old rescue named Daz jumped up and ate the needle.

She took Daz to the Taverham Veterinary Hospital near Norwich, where an X-ray revealed the needle had become lodged in her stomach.
