Stompers in the Royal Arcade, which specialises in children's shoes, first opened in 1996 and has become known across the city for its tumbling monkey as much as its footwear.

The shop is closing at the end of October after a “tremendous” three decades.

Tim Catmull, who owns the store alongside his wife, Xian, said: "We are sad to be closing the shop, but happy as well, we are looking at it in a positive light.
