Tulips for Tapping returns on April 16 in support of Tapping House hospice care for the sixth year.

The event welcomes the public to wander through the fields near King’s Lynn, where more than nine million tulip bulbs are planted.

Thousands flock to the site each year, with the field's appearance in the blockbuster movies Wicked and Wicked: For Good making it an increasingly popular destination for fans of the flower and the films alike.

Despite their popularity, the tulips will only be in bloom for two weeks, with tickets available until April 27.

"We are thrilled to be opening Tulips for Tapping for its sixth year," Nicola Ellis, chief executive officer at Tapping House, said.

"The generosity of everyone who comes along – travelling from near and far to offer their support – never ceases to amaze us.

"Tapping House is an independent charity providing free rest-of-life care to people in West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire, and our services are reliant on the income of events such as these.

"It’s an honour to welcome visitors back for another year to help generate the income needed to keep our hospice running."

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Tapping House, which provides free care for people with life-limiting illnesses.

The tulip field is located near the A148, close to the Sandringham Estate, with the exact location provided upon ticket purchase.

Tickets must be booked in advance and go on sale on April 7 at 10am.

Admission is priced at £10 for adults, £5 for children aged five to 16, and free for under-fives.

Visitors can reserve up to six tickets per booking.
