Service station expansion approved despite 'rural retail park' fears
South Norfolk Council gave the green light for proposals to double Gillingham Services in size at a meeting this week.
The plans, which have been strongly resisted by some locals, include a new M&S shop and a Greggs drive-through.
The current services, off the roundabout between the A146 and A143 Norwich Road, include a petrol station, McDonald's, KFC and Starbucks.
